working in the usa...

After two years of not working, not living, and not paying taxes in the USA I now have a job that involves all three.  A job that doesn't require a visa or getting paid under the table, but did require a drug test.  A month ago I boarded a plane and headed off for another new adventure and another new culture.  Except I boarded my flight in the domestic terminal of the airport and my passport was never stamped.  My duffel bag has been retired and instead I used my boxy rolling suitcase and a Lonsdale bowling bag from London.  I actually wore my heeled boots rather than slippers for the flight's duration.  And I only read magazines and left my book in my bag.  However, I still had time to watch a movie.  In fact, I could've watched two.

So...the question has been:  Where in the world is CiCi?  Well, I have accepted another job on a yacht and am currently based in Seattle.  A city where it certainly does rain a lot.  A city where hybrid cars seem to be the majority and not a pricey alternative.  A city where you appreciate the sun so that you can enjoy the beauty of the mountain ranges in the distance.  A city and a part of the country where I have never been.  A city that houses some of the best fisherman in the world.  A city that does drink a lot of coffee.  A city that is known for his technology sector.  And a city where I will spend the next three months or so.

Another yachting adventure sits on the horizon...
